In the ongoing tussle between Council of Architecture (COA) and Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA), the affected students of 2009-14 batch have threatened to approach court against COA for denying them to register themselves as architects. ... There are 35 students who have been denied registration.

In a fresh letter to COA, the students said, "As your office is well aware that under schedule 14 any student having obtained the bachelor degree of architecture awarded by the Indian universities established by an Act of the central or state legislature are eligible to be registered as architects under the provision of Architects Act, 1972, therefore, the council may kindly register 2009-14 batch students of CCA as 'architects' as more than six months have already elapsed since our graduation. … It is again requested that graduates may kindly be registered as architects within a period of one month from the receipt of this letter, failing which we will take recourse to legal remedies available to us."
