Situated on the backwaters in a town called Payanoor, the project for a house, comprising of five bedrooms, a library, prayer rooms and other purposes common to a residence was commissioned in 2012.
The house will be raised on a hollow plinth, allowing the backwaters to flow in at high-tide, as it has happened over the last two decades. Given the 'unreal' situation of the backwaters that are extruded on the land, and besides requiring the south-edge of the building be more perforated than north there are very few programme-constraints, the plan is indeterminate. The architect, as a consequene, has completed 97 variations so as to determine the architectural orders.
