The plan of the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal consists of spaces for different activities forming a complex whose architectural interpretation makes it into a homogeneous entity and not separately identified buildings on their own plot of land. The contiguous nature of plan discourages the isolationist attitudes and brings about academic and social interaction making it a flexible institute. The plan thus helps to create a sense of community but at the same time recognises the students' need to feel independent.
