Spray nozzles were installed in the ceilings of each room, as shown above right from the viewer’s perspective. The first cycle emitted a fine mist of water and detergent. Another spray washed the residue away. Finally, air jets dried the walls, ceilings and floors, which were sloped to accommodate drainage. Ms. Gabe designed special floor joists, above left, that would maintain the slope if the house settled over time.
