I filed a RTI with the Council Of Architecture for providing me with details on the complaints received by them on the Malpractice of Architects. I got a reply with the time limit. The following was my question:
"This is in reference to the regulation to promote the standard of professional conduct/self discipline, 2nd regulation sub section (vi) states: “Not to give or take discounts, commissions, gifts or other inducement for the introduction of the Clients or Work”. Under RTI, I would like to know if anyone has filed complaints on the issue that the architect who are registered with your body, have taken any sort of commission from the vendors.
If so,
1. Please provide the names and addresses of such Architects.
2. What steps have been taken to prosecute these Architects?"
The reply which I got is as follows:
" Council of Architecture does not maintain any information record of complaints clause(s) wise of Architects (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 1989. Complains are filed in form No.XIV prescribed under the Council of Architecture Rules and accordingly further action is taken."
I tried to look for the form No. XIV on their website but the link to this page is not working.
I was thinking to file another RTI asking for the complaints asking details on the complaint forms as well as call the respective office and checking up with them...
Please advice if any one has another suggestion..
