Sarnath Banerjee tries to understand his surrounding using words and pictures. Every now and then he stumbles upon something of some consequence and publishes it. He has had his early training in biochemistry and later studied theory and practice of image-making. He has written three pictorial books, also called graphic novels: Corridor, Barn Owl’s Wondrous Capers, and The Harappa Files. He often hopes that some critic will define his work as Hogarthian, but that hasn’t happened yet. He lives in Berlin and Delhi.
