Goa chapter, along with the Institution of Engineers – Goa Chapter, are going to request the Kala Academy to allow them to inspect the institution. They intend to look at the “ground realities” and review the inspection report submitted by Goa Engineering College (GEC). The IIA also plans to assist the authorities in the restoration and conservation of Kala Academy.

“Considering the nature of its architecture and its significant character, IIA Goa chapter would like to reserve its response on the said demolition,” an IIA representative said. “We would also want to see the second opinion report on the building’s health,” the representative said.
