The Municipality of León through the Municipal Planning Institute of León (IMPLAN) and The Municipal Housing Institute of León (IMUVI) summon students, teachers and professionals in general to participate in the Second National Ideas Competition: Housing Solution and Intra-urban Park for the development of a conceptual design proposal for a group of high-density social housing and a neighborhood public park in a consolidated urban area in the city of León.

With the vision of redirecting the way in which we plan and manage the cities, we make this invitation to participate in this rethinking with proposals at the conceptual level of intra-urban social housing, as well as, the integration of public and green spaces, which with the best practices Architectural design, innovation and sustainability ensure a healthy neighborhood coexistence, with access and equal opportunities and free from discrimination, safe, affordable and accessible housing for those groups with less income in society.

Among the particular objectives of the contest are the following: 

• Have an impact on intra-urban social housing as well as the integration of public spaces and green spaces, the maximum use of the land through feasible proposals.
• To solve the problem of empty spaces within the city, integrating the urban context, the functionality and valorization of the proposed program.

The registration period for the contest is from Wednesday July 24 and closes on September 27, the deadline for receipt of proposals is September 30, 2019. The winning proposal can be developed by IMUVI and will receive a prize of $ 60,000 MXN.
