One-day conference organised by Giuseppe Bonaccorso and Claudia Conforti

VIIth edition of one day conference "GRAND TOUR OF THE THIRD MILLENIUM (VII edition): Studies in History of Architecture by Foreign Scholars and Artists

in Rome", to be held at School of Engineering of University of Rome - Tor Vergata 21th April 2016.

This one-day biennial conference aims at supporting the exchange between foreign cultural Institutes and University of Rome - Tor Vergata, a traditional place for international discussion of architectural culture. Call for papers is open to foreign research fellows, PhD candidates, scholars and professors currently in Italy whose research is relative to Roman art and architecture and representation of the city.

The conference is divided in four sections:

  1. contemporary architecture (19th-21st c.)
  2. Early Modern architecture (15th-18 c.)
  3. relationship between archaeology and architecture
  4. relationship landscape and architecture

The conference will close with a final discussion.

The proposal for a 10-12 minute presentation concerning exclusively the above topics should be sent as 100 words abstract before 19th March 2016 to the coordinator Giuseppe Bonaccorso (giuseppe.bonaccorso@[at]unicam.it; convegno.grandtour@[at]gmail.com).

The successful applicants will be notified by 23th March 2016.

The official language of the conference is italian; papers may be presented also in English, French or Spanish.
