The 51st Edition in the Architecture and Society Series talk pivoted on 'Rethinking Conservation, Reviving Lives' welcomes Jyotsna Lall, Director Programmes, Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) to talk about rethinking the approach to heritage conservation. The talk covers the journey of AKTC in using conservation-based development to improve the quality of life for people living in the Nizamuddin Basti, for which Lall anchors the social development programmes.

The talk will share the history, journey, and challenges of the Nizamuddin Urban Renewal Initiative – an Aga Khan Historic Cities Programme for the AKTC. The talk will also explore how supporting historic communities can spearhead social development
