The Charles Correa Foundation is organizing its second annual Z-Axis Conference entitled ‘Buildings As Ideas’, which will focus on buildings and the nature of the questions they raise. The first conference, ‘Great City . . . Terrible Place’ held in March 2015, described the city.

This conference is a tribute to the memory of Charles Correa and is the third in a series of events the Foundation has held named ‘Buildings As Ideas’ – the first was in January, being one of four evening Celebrating Charles Correa; the second an Exhibition on Correa’s un-built work which opened in March, and this third event, the conference, will explore further what Correa believed – that buildings are ideas that manifest and take form.

The conference will begin with the first Charles Correa Memorial Lecture delivered on September 1, by Jean Pierre Crousse.

REGISTRATIONS

Registrations for Z Axis are now open at1.  The different categories of registration are:

  • Student Registrations: Students pursuing their bachelors or masters in architecture, planning, landscape design, or any related design field are welcome to register for the conference. The registration fee for students is ₹2500.

  • Professional Registrations: Professionals from the fields of architecture, urban design, urban planning, design, and related domains of work can register for the conference with a basic fee of ₹4500.Additionally, a networking dinner with cocktails is planned for all interested professionals. The pass for the same can be added to your registration by paying ₹2000 in addition to the delegate registration. The networking dinner is optional to all professional participants.

  • Student Pass:₹2500     

  • Professional Pass: ₹4500

  • Professional Pass with Networking Dinner: ₹6500
