The Ministry of Defence conducted two global design competitions on MyGov to give citizens an opportunity to ideate and design the National War Memorial and National War Museum, to be built in New Delhi.

The National War Memorial will honour the memory of all soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces for their selfless service and sacrifice for the nation. The proposed site is located in the heart of New Delhi, within the C-Hexagon that lies in the close vicinity of India Gate and Chattri.
