JAIPUR: After facing a ban of nearly two years on construction of new housing projects, the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) was provided relief by the urban development and housing (UDH) minister Srichand Kriplani on Wednesday as permission was given to construct houses under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana. 

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje during her inspection in Nagaur banned RHB to construct new houses as the officials were using inferior quality material. An official present in the review meeting said, "The minister has allowed to construct houses for lower income group (LIG) and economic weaker section (EWS) on its land. The relief was given as this would help the state government to achieve the target under housing for all scheme." 

The RHB will also initiate Mukhyamantri Shehari Jan Kalyan Shivir after a delay of two months. These camps will be organised between July 17 and August 11. The minister directed the officials to regularise all the houses, which are pending since long during the camps. "The process of regularisation of houses was stopped after prashasan shehron ke sang camps. Many residents have purchased houses on registered and unregistered documents. However, were facing to transfer house on their name," added official.
