CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has compiled a list of 404 houses, which were cancelled by the board over the years for building rule violations. The list was uploaded in CHB’s official website on Monday. 

Earlier, the board had also stopped transfer of flats, which were served notices for violations.1

To safeguard the interest of buyers, the board recently decided to give sellers and purchasers the option of filing a joint application for flat inspection by the CHB for a certificate to confirm that the unit is free of building violations. For the physical survey, the house owner will have to submit an application fee of Rs 5,000.
