PG courses like Architectural History & Theory will be open for students irrespective of degree

CEPT University has opened its door for students who do not belong to architecture or engineering background. Of the six new PG programmes to be introduced this year, CEPT has opened two Master’s Degree programmes to graduates from any discipline. Chairman of CEPT University Admissions Committee Subhrangsu Goswami said, “There is a notion among students that CEPT University is only for architecture, design and technology courses.

Through these courses we want to open up doors for students who do not have an architecture or engineering background.” Goswami further added, “Students who join this course will learn from friends more than the teachers. There will be heterogeneity in the class as students from different graduate programme will pursue this course.” The post graduate courses are Architectural History and Theory and Conservation and Regeneration.

Whereas students who belong to the background will be selected on the basis of their portfolio and more on architecture perspective. Those who have architecture and engineering background will be conferred with M.Arch. Architectural History and Theory will be open for graduate irrespective of their graduating degree. The programme is intended for architects and graduates from other disciplines interested in advanced training in built environment research.
