Vijayawada: Ample opportunities are waiting for the architects to be grabbed in the ever-growing civilisation and to become trendsetters, said Venkaiah Naidu, Vice-President of India while addressing the convocation of the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPAV) as chief guest here on Thursday.

Expressing happiness over his participation in the first convocation of the SPAV in the upcoming capital city of Amaravati, the Vice-President said that he dreamt of having great institutions in the state after bifurcation and one after another they were coming to materalise.

After inaugurating the newly constructed building for the SPAV, Venkaiah Naidu described the new premises as iconic building which is eco-friendly and least power consumption and that is the need of the hour. “The beauty of the building coupled with the duty of the faculty would become mighty,” he averred.

The Vice-President hoped that it would produce great architects who would participate in the development of the new capital city of Amaravati.

Warning them not to play with the nature, the Vice-President advised the architects to preserve nature with culture for better future through architecture.
