Looking at the surrounding one wonders what must have happened. From where the water was flowing, where were the buildings, where were the people etc, etc.
Whatever it is but the place right now is in a mess with a lots of ugly temporary structures, heaps of construction materials, large areas being paved with stone slabs with hundreds of steps....difficult to imagine what all these are leading up to ....
