Sheila Theatre will be torn down to rebuild as a multiplex. Designed by Habib Rahman in 1961, those murals were done by a young Canadian architect Luc Durant. The owner, Uday, called me to ask if they could be saved somehow. They are on a brick wall - so no way !! But I did suggest that it could be redone in the new structure and maybe retain some style elements from the original.
