Notre Dame in Paris was engulfed in flames. Now the world wants to rebuild the famous cathedral.

Money is pouring in, with great speed and in great quantities.

All is good, it seems, yet, we wonder: is it really just a question of money ? Also, what about the other lady, the one not commonly known as “Notre Dame”, yet perhaps no less important, at least for the French people.

We are talking about MARIE ANNE.

And before, about MARIE, Jesus’ mother.

Wouldn’t be appropriate, somehow, to reflect on both ladies ? Indeed, what would Marie do, if the revendications symbolized by Marie Anne would be forgotten ? In other words, what would the Sacred do, all by itself, if what is habitually called the Profane is forgotten.

Yes, we need spirit too, but we also need Egalite, Fraternite, Liberte, the three comendments Marie Anne symbolized and stood for.

This is why we feel that Paris has an occasion, now, to repair not only the cathedral, but also betrayed societal ideals. Thus, it has an occasion, now, to address not only the Sacred, but also the Profane.

Let us imagine, in the center of Paris, in that quintessential place of Point Zero, TWO buildings for TWO Ladies: Marie & Marie Anne.

Two buildings, facing each other, in complementarity, like Yin and Yang.

Wouldn’t it be beautiful ?

Wouldn’t it be necessary ?

This is why we propose to you to reflect on, and build for, BOTH “our Ladies,” MARIE and MARIE ANNE.

Thus, Paris would bring in a beautiful conjunctions the celestial with the terrestrial.

And we feel the cathedral itself shouldn’t just replicate itself, looking just backwards. We feel the cathedral itself has a chance now to rejuvenate itself, and the sister building facing it, THE HOUSE FOR MARIE ANNE could also help.

Let’s build for NOTRE DAME but also let’s build for the beautiful lady that led the revolutionary through flames, towards those three ideals: Egalite, Fraternite, Liberte.

Let’s build for these two sisters, if we can call them so. We see no contradiction between one and the other, but there have to be TWO ladies, equally important, equally inspiring, equally present in the parvis of the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Should we place an “s” at the end of the word “dame ?” Perhaps yes, since what is the glorification of tge divine mother if here on earth we are unable to put to practice the ideals Marie Anne advocated ?

LET’S BUILD AND REBUILD FOR MARIE AND MARIANNE!

LET’S BUILD AND REBUILD FOR A BETTER WORLD!

LET’S BUILD AND REBUILD FOR THE TWO GREAT LADIES!
