NEW DELHI: It could change the way you see Dwarka. For the first time,
this southwest locality of Delhi is set to see realty prices touch the
same high as any posh south Delhi address. The reason is the auction of a
5-acre residential plot by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) a
couple of months ago. Picked up by a private builder for almost Rs 80
crore - one of the highest figures lately - these apartments are being
pegged at Rs 5,100 per sq ft or Rs 1 crore for the approximately 250 flats
that will ultimately come up in this, till now, typically middle-class
part of the city.
Tagged as luxury apartments, the apartment block is being aggressively
peddled by the builders, Uppals. Said Ramneek Bawa, part of the builder
firm: "Unlike other properties in Delhi which don't have clear titles,
this one is a totally legitimate entity."
