INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL “BARBARA CAPPOCHIN” ARCHITECTURE PRIZE
2005 EDITION
PURPOSE
The “Prize of Architecture Barbara Cappochin" was founded in order to
become a display window of synthesis between various components: the
project, the realization of the project, and the client.
The second edition of the Prize has been expanded from the provincial level
of the first edition (2003) to include the international level - with the
purpose of extending the exchange of ideas and increasing the awareness of
planners, builders and clients and highlighting design and construction
quality. The International Prize has been made
possible with the collaboration of the U.I.A. (International Union of
Architects), and with the C.N.A.P.P.C. (National Council of Architects,
Planners, Landscapists, Building Conservators).
Cultural and professional resources that the architect offers to the
community, through his work, developing processes which will lead to the
transformation of the territory.
The Prize, therefore, offers a precious occasion for:
To promote the quality of contemporary architecture in relation to the
city, with the objective of stimulating a debate in order to arrive at a
comparison between international architecture and local architecture.
To increase public awareness and develop a passion for architecture.
The promoters, public and private, the planners and the builders become
more and more conscious that the quality of the architectonic landscape
must be considered an essential goal for our society.
