Pace or Speed? Vernacular Building Types and Settlements in Transition.
The 4th International Seminar on Vernacular Settlements. The conference
is hosted by the School of Architecture, CEPT at Ahmedabad, India

This is a workshop and conference focusing on the issue of pace vs.
speed in the development of developing countries and its relationship to
vernacular architecture.

Guidelines for submission:
For general information on abstract and paper submittal visit

The Abstract should be around 500 words and using MLA style for citation
and formatting. This is a multi-stage and double-blind review process in
the first stage. Abstract submissions should be roughly 500 words.
Please upload illustrations, if necessary, in PDF or Word format along
with the paper abstract. Authors will be notified of acceptance by
December 2007. The full paper is expected to be about 3000-4000 words
and must be submitted by December 20, 2007.
