New Delhi, April 1 Architects and members of civil society Sunday
remembered British-born architect Laurie Baker as a 'Gandhian builder',
adept at building homes and not just houses for the poor at low cost.

Condoling the death of Kerala's brick-master who died Sunday morning at
his residence in Thiruvananthpuram, former president of the Indian
Institute of Architects (IIA) Balveer Verma told IANS: 'He was not a
mere architect, he was a Gandhian architect.'
