Titled “Le Corbusier from Marseilles to Chandigarh -- 1945-1965”, the
first important exhibition on the legendary architect in India displays
more than 200 works, plans, models, paintings, sculptures, tapestries,
manuscripts, books, drawings, photographs and other pieces.
Prof Kiran Joshi, an architect associated with the UT tourism
department, countered Sharma’s allegations. She questioned Sharma’s
association with French architect Le Corbusier.
She claimed, “Extensive research on Courbusier has revealed that A R
Prabhawalker, Jeet Malhotra, U E Choudhary and N S Lamba were the key
officials involved in the projects with Corbusier. M N Sharma was posted
at the Patiala office of the Punjab Architecture Department.”
M N Sharma said, “I have worked with Le Corbusier. I was involved in
work on two projects.”
