Architecture minister Margaret Hodge is coming under pressure to rethink
her position on post-war buildings as BD’s campaign to have Robin Hood
Gardens listed draws to a close — with more than 1,000 signatures of
support.

As Norman Foster, Nicholas Serota, David Chipperfield, Richard Meier,
Ted Cullinan and Toyo Ito added their names to the petition to secure
listed status for the threatened Smithson-designed estate — which is to
be submitted to English Heritage today — it emerged that Hodge met
heritage experts and developers last week who urged her not to reduce
the listing protection for late 20th century buildings.
