Nonetheless, the number of its urban residents will continue increasing with the growth momentum holding in developing economies. Over 2012-2020, the most rapid population growth is estimated in Turkish first and second tier cities, while Istanbul is forecast to become the largest Western European metropolis, outrunning London.
