Housing – Critical Futures – an international program of conferences and events is launched for 2015-16.

Housing, Heath and Film forms part of the international project Housing-Critical Futuresinvestigating the issue of affordable and social housing. For this event, Architecture_MPS is collaborating with the Public Health Film Society and aims to raise the issue of the relationship between public health and housing through the prism of film. More generally, it raises issues of the built environment and public health policy in the UK.

The event will bring together public health officials, planning advisors, architects and filmmakers. It will consist of:

  • A series of film screenings on public health, housing and the built environment.
  • Two panel discussions with architects, public health professionals, policy makers and socially focused film directors
