AHMEDABAD: The placement season in Cept University that commenced at a slow pace gained some momentum, with the highest pay offer touching Rs 8.5 lakh this January. However, the university has only witnessed a handful of prospective employers. From October to December last year, only nine firms visited the campus. This year, only two firms visited the campus for recruitment. 

The university has, so far, placed just 27 students out of 150 registered for the drive. Saswat Bandyopadhyay, coordinator, Cept Career Office, said 15 more offers are likely to be sealed before the convocation on February 7. 

Out of 150, five architecture students have been offered an annual package of Rs 8.5 lakh each by Godrej Properties Ltd. Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd is the second highest recruiter at Rs 7 lakh. Going by the numbers, Shapoorji Pallonji has made highest offer that is six.
