Indore tops the list of districts performing well in the implementation of government's flagship schemes, Swachh Bharat Mission, 'Housing for All' and CM Helpline, while the state capital needs to improve.

This was disclosed in the review meeting on the first day of commissioners-collectors conference on Tuesday. Seven other districts also fared well in implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission. Reviewing the performance, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan lauded efforts of Indore district administration in the implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission and called upon the collectors of other district to follow its example.

"Indore has fared well in the implementation of CM Helpline and achieved first position among all districts. Its performance has been excellent when it comes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious programme 'Housing for all'. I congratulate Indore collector P Narhari for the achievement," said Chouhan while reviewing the schemes.

Surprisingly, Bhopal could not fare well in the implementation of flagship schemes. The chief minister also cautioned districts collectors of Satna, Ashok Nagar, Umaria, Vidisha and Hoshangabad to speed up the implementation of flagship schemes as they lagged far behind among others.
