Irked over delayed possessions, scores of homebuyers staged protest in front of Amrapali Builder's corporate office at Sector 62 area of Noida. The buyers have not got the possession of their flats, payment of which they made during the year 2010.
"It has been 4-5 years since we are protesting against the Amrapali Group but the successive governments have turned a blind eye. The middle class pay taxes, works hard to earn money and eventually help the country in its growth, and in return they are getting robbed by the builders," Prem Anand, a techie who bought a flat at Amrapali Dream Valley in the year 2010 and is still awaiting the possession.
Many buyers are taking leaves from their jobs to stage protest against the builder. They are also demanding to be listed as secured creditors, arrest of the Chief Managing Director Anil Sharma, and waiver off interest on EMIs till possessions of their flats.
